Never send money

No one you meet here should ever ask you for money, gift cards, crypto or bank details. If they do, report them. Gifts in the City never turn into cash, so there is no reason for anyone to ask for them.

Spotting a scam

• They move very fast to "love" or a "business opportunity".
• They want to move the chat to WhatsApp or Telegram straight away.
• They have an emergency that only money can fix.
• They promise guaranteed investment returns.

Look for the blue tick

A blue tick means a moderator has checked the person's live selfie against their photos.

Before meeting offline

• Video call first.
• Meet in a busy public place and tell a friend where you are.
• Arrange your own transport.

Report and block

Tap any avatar or profile card and choose Report or Block. Blocking is instant: the person can no longer see or message you anywhere in the City.
