🌍 How the 3D world works

Walking, looking around, the map, and what the coloured markers mean.

The 3D World is a living Naija street with traffic, buildings and real people. It opens at /world on a phone or computer, with no download.

Moving around

  • Computer: walk with W A S D or the arrow keys, hold Shift to run, and drag with the mouse to look around. Scroll to zoom.
  • Phone: drag the round joystick at the bottom left to walk; drag anywhere else to look around; pinch to zoom.
  • Tap 🗺️ for a bird's-eye map, and the 🎯 button to come back to yourself.

What you see

  • People with name tags are real members near you who switched on Open to Meet. ✔ means verified, ✈️ means they are visiting from another city.
  • Gold beams are paid jobs near you. A brighter gold beam means the pay is already held in escrow.
  • Green domes are safe spots (busy public places) where people can check in "Here now".
  • Pink signs over doors are hangouts you can walk into. Other buildings with a sign and an Enter prompt lead to jobs, training, events and help.

Your privacy while walking

Walking in the street is just exploring. Other people only ever see your real area to about 1 km, never your exact position. See How your location stays private.

New here? Tap ? in the world any time to replay the short tour.
