Privacy Policy

We built SociaVerse to collect as little personal data as possible, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and the GDPR.

Location

Your exact GPS position is never stored. Your browser sends it over HTTPS, and we immediately round it to a zone about 1 km wide. Only that zone is saved. While you are visiting another city in SociaVerse, your zone is placed in that city instead.

Identity documents

If you choose to get verified, your ID photo and selfie are stored in a private area that the website never serves publicly. Only our safety team can view them.

Messages and safety

Messages are checked automatically for scam phrases to protect you. Flagged messages may be reviewed by our safety team.

Payments

Payments are processed by Flutterwave. We never see or store your card details.

Cookies and storage

We use one essential session cookie to keep you logged in, and your device remembers your music and sound settings. We don’t use advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can update your profile at any time, and download or permanently delete your data yourself from your Account page.
