💬 Live street and street chat
See who is walking the street right now, and say hi to people standing near you.
The 3D World is live. Everyone who has it open walks the same street as you, in real time, not just inside rooms.
Who is here
- The badge at the top shows how many members are online and how many are on this street with you right now.
- Players walking live have a green dot on their name tag. You see them walk, run, turn and use emotes as it happens.
- Tap a green-dot name tag to see their card. If they are Open to Meet, you can wave from there.
Street chat
Type in the "Say hi to people near you…" bar and press Say. Your message appears as a speech bubble over your avatar, and only people standing a few steps away can read it, just like talking in real life. Walk up to someone before you speak.
- Street chat is for hellos and small talk. For private chat, wave; when you both wave, a private chat opens.
- For your safety, street chat blocks phone numbers, links and money requests, and you can send a few messages a minute.
- Tap 🔊 to mute street chat any time. Blocked people never see or hear you.
- While you type, the joystick and buttons step aside so they never cover the text box.
Privacy
Where your avatar stands on the street is a game position, not your real location. Others only ever see your real area to about 1 km. See How your location stays private.
Chat with anyone you meet
Tap anyone walking the street and choose 💬 Ask to chat. They get a pop-up straight away; if they say yes, a private chat opens for both of you. Nobody can message you without your yes.
Only real people
Every person you see in the 3D world is a real member who is online right now. There are no made-up characters.
Sit down
Walk up to a bench and tap 🪑 Sit on the bench. People nearby see you sitting; walk again to stand up.
