🪜 Milestone pay and disputes

Split a big job into paid stages, and what happens if something goes wrong.

For bigger jobs, the employer can split the pay into stages (at least two) when posting. The stage amounts must add up to the total pay, and the full amount is held in escrow first.

  1. The worker finishes a stage and submits it, with photos of the work if helpful.
  2. The employer approves it, and that stage's pay is released.
  3. Repeat until every stage is paid. A job cannot be marked complete while a stage is unpaid.

If you disagree

Either side can open a dispute on a stage. Our team reviews the chat and photo evidence and decides fairly. Evidence photos are only visible to the employer, the worker and our team.
